Animal supporters from across the state are invited to Mystic for a festive night out that doubles as a game-changer for pets in need.

Seats are on sale now for the Connecticut Humane Society’s Faux Fur Ball at the Hilton Mystic Hotel, 22 Coogan Boulevard. The event, set for Saturday, April 22, from 6-10 p.m., supports lifesaving care of CHS pets.

Faux Fur Ball fun starts with furry VIPs greeting attendees at the door and continues with delicious food, complimentary wine and beer, music and a photo booth. The silent auction room will be packed wall to wall with sports game packages, theater tickets, craft brewery baskets and big-city trips, while the live auction will give guests an excuse to plan a tropical getaway—Caribbean vacations are just a few of the big-ticket items up for grabs. Pet-themed trivia and Fund the Pets bidding will round out the night.

New for this year’s Ball is the Director’s Circle: Join by purchasing or selling seats for a table of 10. Two guests from the table will receive admission to a pre-event reception at 5:30 p.m. for a champagne toast with CHS Executive Director Gordon G. Willard and a private auction preview.

Funds raised at the Faux Fur Ball will support the general medical needs of pets in the care of CHS—like Conrad, an 8-year-old bulldog/terrier mix who is looking for a family at CHS’ Waterford facility after being treated by CHS veterinarians for skin and allergy issues. And like Duke, a cat recently adopted from CHS Waterford after receiving care for weight-related health conditions. Proceeds will also support spays and neuters, vaccinations and urgent surgeries of CHS pets.

CHS serves animals from all over Connecticut through its three Pet Wellness and Adoption Centers in Waterford, Newington, and Westport, free pet wellness clinics in Norwich, and the Fox Memorial Clinic, a low-fee, public veterinary clinic in Newington.

Tickets purchased before April 18th are $80 per person. To reserve your seats now, visit CThumane.org or call Priscilla Clark at 860-594-4502 ext. 6307.
